So another football season ended last weekend. Super Bowl 2012 might be over, but the impact it made on the media world continues to show online.

According to Metro, Super Bowl 2012 was the most tweeted about sporting event in history, seeing an estimated 13.7 million tweets about the game over the course of the 5 hour televised program. (Talk about engagement!)

As if the game wasn’t exciting enough (A heartbreaking Safety in the 1st quarter; the final game winning points) but the Super Bowl commercials made a splash as well! Each brand that was featured during Super Bowl 2012 got its very own spot on Brandwatch, describing the type of buzz each commercial (and its brand) got. Check out those rankings!

Brands like Coca-Cola, Kia, and Walt Disney are all featured, each getting a ranking of 6, 13, and 10, respectively, out of 38 brands.

Super Bowl 2012 Tweets

So, Tom Brady might not have led the Patriots to victory in the 2012 Super Bowl, but hey, at least he can say he played in the most tweeted about Super Bowl in history! Congrats!
